Steps to maintaining a Pristine Hardwood Floor

How to Clean Hardwood Floors

Hardwood floors are a big purchase, and rightly so since they last a lifetime. At Warren’s Carpet One in Amherst, NY, we want to help you protect your investment with these insider tips on cleaning hardwood floors.

How do I Clean Hardwood Floors Naturally?

3 Chemical-Free Ways to Remove Spots from a Hardwood Floor

  • (1) Pencil Eraser: When shoes and scuffing leave black marks on your floors, simply erase them away!

  • (2) Steel Wool: For the more stubborn black marks and small scratches, rub them with a piece of fine steel wool to remove.

  • (3) Good Old-Fashioned Frozen Water: In the case that gum gets stuck on your floor, fill a plastic bag with ice and place it over the gum until the gum freezes. The gum will become hard and brittle and you can then scrape it off with a plastic scraper.
